August 25, 2019 (San Diego) - The Padres have sustained two days of colossal punishment from the Red Sox. Might as well take one more. Brian Johnson started today’s finale for Boston against Joey Lucchesi.
Expert base running by Manuel Margot allowed him to score on Francisco Mejia’s single in the first. Manny Machado blasted a two-run homer and the Padres led 3-0 after one.
The Red Sox got on the board in the fourth with J.D. Martinez’s solo home run that flew into the Western Supply Co. building. The Padres still held a 3-1 lead after four. That was all they needed to avoid the sweep and take one of three from the Sox.

The Padres are finally back to NL West play Monday when the Dodgers visit. First pitch is set for 7:10 p.m. Eric Lauer gets the start.

Take two of three from Sox? Huh?
You got it right in the article but that headline needs to change.
Thanks! I fixed it.
Sorry about that.
