ECM PADRES REPORT: PADRES TAKE SERIES AGAINST STRUGGLING SOX

September 30, 2023 (Chicago) - The Padres are at .500 for the first time since May.  They looked to take the series against the White Sox today with Michael Wacha on the mound against ex-Padre Mike Clevinger for Chicago.

Jurickson Profar kicked things off in the first with a three-RBI double.  Ji-Man Choi doubled to score Profar and the Padres led 4-0 after one.

 

Juan Soto added on in the second with a double that scored Xander Bogaerts and Profar singled to score Soto and the Padres led 6-0 after two.

 

Lenyn Sosa hit a solo homer in the eighth, but the Padres got another big win to take the series, 6-1.

 

UP NEXT

 

The last game of the season is tomorrow at 12:10 p.m. and will be one of the free games of the day.  Starts against José Ureña for the Chisox.
