January 31, 2010 (Alpine) -- Want to get fit and healthy in the New Year? Certified raw culinary chefs Diane Haworth and Michael Varbaek will be guest speakers for the Alpine Business Networking Association (ABNA) on Thursday, February 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Vines Bistro & Wine Bar, 2502 Alpine Boulevard in Alpine. Guests are invited for a raw food presentation and information on healthy eating.

ABNA is a business networking organization that hosts meetings for socializing with fellow Alpine Business members on the third Thursday of each month.

"ABNA Is iInvested In Alpine," says ABNA spokesperson Mary Rynearson, who notes that 29.6 million small Businesses in America ahve created two-thirds of all new jobs in the past 15 years.  ABNA promotes the concept of "shop local businsesses first," encouraging community members to patronize local businesses. "The money that you spend in Alpine goes into our schools; homes; businesses; the community organizations and the services they offer," Rynearson observes. "Join ABNA in investing in our Community."

The group helps local businesses "cultivate" opportunities by providing resources to help members position and plan for economic recovery, says Rynearson.  "One recovery strategy is: technology and social media for the future of your business."
