December 15, 2010 (Alpine) – Giving the reindeer a rest, Santa is bringing a helicopter to the Albertson’s store, 2955 Alpine Blvd. in Alpine.

Free Santa photos with your children and pets will be provided.  Free popcorn, candy, hot chocolate and hot cider will all be part of the festivities this Saturday, December 18 from 1-6 p.m.

The event is cosponsored by Albertson’s, Kamps Propane, Blackhawk Helicopters, Inc. and Richard Edwards Aerial Crane Service.

The Huey helicopter at the event was flown in combat during the Viet Nam War.

In addition to the activities listed above, the Alpine Kiwanis will be on hand to raise awareness of the Veterans Wall of Honor, a monument to honor Alpine military veterans.
