STORM , COLD TEMPERATURES FORECAST FOR WEEKEND

November 18, 2010 (San Diego) – Break out the umbrellas and winter coats. Rain, gusty winds and cold temperatures dipping below freezing are forecast for this weekend--with snow possible at higher mountain elevations.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook statement for San Diego County. Rain is forecast for the early hours Saturday morning after 4.a..m., with a 70% chance of precipitation later in the day. Wind gusts up to 25 mph are predicted through the weekend, with a 40% chance of showers on Sunday and snowfall forecast for mountain areas above 5,000 feet.

Temperatures could dip to 27 degrees Sunday and Monday nights, with highs near 40 degrees. Monday has a chance of showers, with sunny but chilly weather forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday.
