April 2, 2019 (Corvallis, Ore.) - Behind seven dominant innings from Aztec reliever Adrian Mardueno, the San Diego State baseball team defeated defending national champion and No. 6/7-ranked Oregon State 4-3 at Goss Stadium on Tuesday night. The Aztecs improve to 16-12 on the year while the Beavers fall to 19-6-1.

March 26, 2019 (San Diego) - The San Diego State baseball team suffered a 5-2 loss against Cal Baptist on Tuesday night at Tony Gwynn Stadium. The Aztecs fall to 14-10 while the Lancers improve to 17-8.

Michael Paredes posted a quality start on the mound for the Aztecs despite the loss. The freshman hurled six innings and allowed three runs on five hits while striking out seven with no walks. Paredes started his outing off with a pair of strikeouts in each of the game's first two frames.

March 23, 2019 (Albuquerque) - All nine players in the San Diego State starting lineup recorded either multiple hits or drove in multiple runs as the Aztecs posted a season-high 19 runs and 20 hits in a 19-3 drubbing of New Mexico on Saturday afternoon at Santa Ana Star Field. The Aztecs, now winners of eight of their last 10, improve to 13-8 (4-2 Mountain West) on the year while New Mexico falls to 11-11 (3-5 MW).

March 20, 2019 (El Cajon) - El Cajon Valley and Steele Canyon baseball are both off to rocky starts as they begin conference play against each other this year.  The Braves are 2-3 while the Cougars teeter at .500 at 5-5. They started Grossmont League play today with a home-at-home series, starting in El Cajon. ECM Sports was there for our first baseball coverage of the season.  Senior Robert Verdugo took the mound for the Braves against senior Jack Schlotman for Steele.

February 24, 2019 (San Diego) - SDSU baseball has split both of their games in the annual Tony Gwynn Legacy--a 3-2 win Friday night against Utah and a 1-0 loss to Oklahoma yesterday.  Today, they bid the annual weekend of baseball goodbye for another year with an afternoon matinee against Kansas State.  Redshirt senior Brad Wegman started for the Aztecs against junior Will Brennan.

Brian Leonhardt led the Aztecs with a 3-for-4 performance including four RBIs. Casey O’Sullivan (1-0) earned the win on the mound for SDSU, pitching two innings of one-hit relief with four strikeouts.

February 15, 2019 (San Diego) - Behind a combined 17 strikeouts, the San Diego State baseball team opened its 2019 season with an 8-4 win against San Francisco on Friday night at Tony Gwynn Stadium.

Logan Boyer set a new career-high with 10 strikeouts in five innings. Justin Goossen-Brown and Daniel Ritcheson followed Boyer in relief and maintained SDSU’s lead through the late stages, combining for four innings pitched with three hits and two runs allowed. Ritcheson struck out five of the 11 batters he faced.

October 4, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State baseball, winners of five of the last six Mountain West Championships, has released its 2019 schedule, it was announced Thursday morning. The Aztecs open their season on Feb. 15, 2019, with the opener of a three-game series against San Francisco. In addition to a 30-game conference schedule, notably, SDSU will host 2018 College World Series participant Texas Tech for a two-game series on March 5-6 and travel to defending national champion Oregon State on April 2-3.
