DUI TASK FORCE CRACKING DOWN ON IMPAIRED DRIVERS THIS FOURTH OF JULY

 
July 3, 2012 (San Diego County) -- Most Americans may not realize it, but the Fourth of July is one of the deadliest holidays of the year due to alcoholimpaired driving crashes. 
 
That’s why this Fourth of July the Avoid the 14 DUI Task Force is stepping up enforcement efforts as part of the ongoing “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” enforcement crackdown to catch and arrest impaired drivers who put themselves and others at risk.

LA MESA CONTINUES ITS 100-YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION AT CENTENNIAL FLAG DAY PARADE SATURDAY

 
May 31, 2012 (La Mesa) -- On Saturday, June 2, downtown La Mesa will dress up in red, white and blue to celebrate 100 years and “A Salute to Old Glory!” at the La Mesa Centennial Flag Day Parade. Spectators are encouraged to dress in patriotic attire and join in the fun in this old fashioned Centennial event! Following is a line up of the activities:

PATRIOTIC BANNERS TO HONOR SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN FROM ESCONDIDO, SPONSORS SOUGHT

 
May 9, 2012 (Escondido) -- Sponsors are being sought for patriotic banners honoring men and women from Escondido that have served in our Armed Forces. Up to one hundred, eight-foot-tall banners will be displayed on light poles throughout Downtown Escondido by the middle of June through Independence Day, each one honoring a specific Escondido service person. Each banner will include a photo of the honored serviceman or women, his or her name, and the branch and era of service.

LA MAESTRA COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS CELEBRATE 21ST BIRTHDAY

 

 

 

May 17, 2011 (San Diego) -- La Maestra Community Health Centers celebrated 21 years of providing quality, culturally and linguistically appropriate health, and well-being services through its Circle of Care.

 

 

To begin the 22nd year a generous donation from Kaiser Permanente will help provide more of the sonographic imaging services that have been helping those in need.
