THREE HOSPITALIZED AFTER FIGHT IN SANTEE: BEATEN WITH BATS, KNIFE LODGED IN VICTIM’S SKULL

 
March 13, 2013 (Santee) – Lakeside Sheriff’s patrol deputies responding to a report of a stabbing victim at 10:32 p.m. last night near 9660 Marilla Drive found a juvenile with a knife lodged in his skull.  Witnesses told deputies that they had witnessed a large fight in the Ryder Road area in Santee involving around five males seen using baseball bats, brass knuckles asnd knives. Three victims were transported to hospitals with injuries.

TB EXPOSURES AT SANTANA HIGH SCHOOL AND KEARNY MESA JUVENILE DETENTION FACILITY

June 9, 2012 (San Diego) -- Santana High School and the Kearny Mesa Juvenile Detention Facility have had tuberculosis (TB) exposures, San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) has reported.

SAN DIEGO POLICE ANNOUNCE ARREST IN GANG-RELATED SHOOTING

July 10, 2011 (San Diego) -- San Diego Police Gang Unit detectives have arrested 18 year old Anthony Penn and a 16 year old juvenile for a shooting that occurred yesterday in the Emerald Hills neighborhood. Two victims, 21 year old Martin Barnett, who was confronted by the suspects, and 7 year old Laura Castello, an innocent bystander who was playing in her yard nearby, were wounded. Both victims are expected to survive their injuries.
