TEEN STABBED AND ROBBED AT PARKWAY PLAZA

March 22, 2010 (El Cajon) – A juvenile has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a 19-year-old man who told police he was getting into his car outside Parkway Plaza when he was robbed, then attacked.

El Cajon Police responded to 911 calls regarding the stabbing at 2:30 p.m. They found the victim with stab wounds to his side and arm. The victim was transported to the hospital by paramedics and is in stable condition.

The victim told officers that the suspect threatened him with a knife and demanded money. The victim turned over an undetermined amount of money and was stabbed for reasons that are unknown.

Security officers saw the suspect run from the scene and followed him while relaying information to the police department. The suspect jumped over a wall into the lot of a business at 550 Fesler. Officers arrived at the lot a minute later and found the suspect hiding under a vehicle.

The suspect, who is 17, was taken into custody and later transported to Juvenile Hall. He will be booked for robbery and assault with a deadly weapon, according to El Cajon Police.
