August 21, 2017 (San Diego) - Pablo Pelaez of the San Diego State men’s soccer team was named to Top Drawer Soccer’s Preseason Best XI Second Team on Monday. The honor comes just under two weeks after being named to the 2017 Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Watch List, known as the most prestigious individual award in college soccer.

July 31, 2017 (San Diego) - Celebrating the program’s 50th year of competition, San Diego State men’s soccer head coach Lev Kirshner unveiled the Aztecs’ highly anticipated 2017 schedule on Monday. The challenging slate features 10 matches at SDSU Sports Deck, along with seven dates against opponents that qualified for the NCAA Tournament last season.

July 10, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State men’s soccer head coach Lev Kirshner fortified his staff this week with the hiring of Josh Hill as assistant coach.

A native of Chino, California, Hill brings a vast array of coaching experience to Montezuma Mesa, ranging from the collegiate level to the USL Premier Development League (PDL). He most recently was an assistant coach at UCLA in 2016 after serving the Bruins’ director of soccer operations in 2015.

October 13, 2016 (Stanford) - The No. 25/17 San Diego State men’s soccer team was unable to contain a surging Stanford club on Thursday, dropping a 3-1 decision to the No. 16/19 Cardinal in a Pac-12 showdown on the road at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.

SDSU MEN'S SOCCER: AZTECS LOSE PAC-12 MATCH TO UCLA

October 8, 2016 (San Diego) - Aztecs men’s soccer played in its third Pac-12 match of the season tonight against #13 UCLA.

After a quiet first half, it was UCLA who struck first in the 63rd minute of the second half on a nice goal by Jose Hernandez and the Bruins took a 1-0 lead to the 90th minute to win it.

October 2, 2016 (San Diego) - San Diego State’s Travis Nicklaw recorded his third game-winning goal of the year as the No. 22/19 Aztec men’s soccer team emerged with a 1-0 triumph over 16th-ranked Washington Sunday in a Pac-12 clash at SDSU Sports Deck. With the victory, the Aztecs raise their record to 6-1-3 on the year and 1-0-1 in conference play, while the Huskies slip to 7-3 overall and 1-1 in the Pac-12.

With the win, the Aztecs recorded their sixth shutout of the year, improving to 5-1-2 overall, while the Toreros slip to 3-3-3 on the season.

September 11, 2016 (San Diego) - The No. 13/9 San Diego State men’s soccer team posted its fourth shutout in a row on Sunday with a 2-0 conquest of Memphis in the Courtyard Marriott San Diego Central Tournament at SDSU Sports Deck. With the victory, the Aztecs claimed the team championship at their weekend event, improving to 4-0-1 on the season, while the Tigers slip to 3-3 overall.
